ABOUT US
A STRONGER
NORTH ALABAMA
THROUGH QUALITY WORK.

BUILT ONÂ
EXPERIENCE
Stuart began his electrical apprenticeship with a company based in the Shoals and was working as a lead electrician by his second year.
His experience includes leading commercial projects across Alabama, including restaurants and commercial buildings, as well as residential and service work throughout the Athens and Decatur area.
In Athens, Stuart led a small crew responsible for wiring an entire 80 unit apartment complex from the ground up. He was later trusted to lead residential and service projects throughout the area.
In 2026, Stuart combined that field experience with his entrepreneurial background to establish McClain Electrical Contractors.
The company now brings that same practical, hands on approach to residential, commercial, and new construction projects throughout the area.

BUILT TO DO THINGS
THE RIGHT WAY
McClain Electrical Contractors is build around a simple standard: do quality work, communicate clearly, and treat every project with care.
The company approaches each job with a focus on craftsmanship, safety, reliability, and long term performance. Whether the work involves a home, business, renovation, service call, or new construction project, the goal is to provide electrical solutions that are completed professionally and build to last.
McClain Electrical also believes customers should understand what is happening throughout the process. That means straightforward communication, clear expectations, and work completed with attention to detail from start to finish.
For the company, doing things the right way is not just a phrase. It is the standard behind every project.

MEET THE
OWNER
Stuart McClain is the owner and founder of McClain Electrical Contractors, a locally owned electrical company serving Athens and the surrounding North Alabama area.
A North Alabama native who grew up in Hillsboro, Stuart was surrounded by mechanics from an early age. That environment shaped his love for working with his hands, understanding how things work, and solving problems when something is not working the way it should.
Before entering the electrical trade, Stuart worked in industrial maintenance with International Paper, including mechanical work in large industrial facilities. He later became an independent operator and over the road truck driver before a serious accident changed the direction of his life.
That experience eventually led Stuart to electrical work, where he found the career and craft that would become the foundation for McClain Electrical Contractors.
